Charles is ready to tackle your demanding case, domestic or international. His diverse work includes having seized multiple vessels in Korea for several US- and European-based companies, representing a Russian aircraft dealership to obtain an outstanding seven-figure debt from a US manufacturer, obtaining an outstanding debt against a US company for a Russian company selling seafood products, and arbitrating a multi-million dollar breach of contract action before CIETAC in Shenzhen, China. Charles recently won a landmark maritime case expanding a cruise line’s duty to care for passengers through their final disembarkation in Italy and prevailed in a two week contempt action brought in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Leading media outlets including Fox News and PBS have interviewed Charles on a variety of issues, including maritime piracy and international criminal law. His extensive experience in the complex areas of maritime and international litigation and arbitration have earned widespread recognition, as well as the trust of high-profile clients around the world.

Charles grew up in Houston, Texas. In his free time he enjoys tennis, skiing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
